The result of a study, made by researchers at Örebro University and Karolinska Institutet, made Everfresh realise that something had to be done, regarding the fact that children in Sweden eat far too little fruit and vegetables. Someone must act. So they asked themselves the question, what can we do to inspire future generations to a healthier life?

The solution was LEKA*. An educational salad concept which goal is to increase children’s interest, knowledge and consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables and to inspire and streamline the work in the kitchen. The concept was launched on the market for the first time at the Nordic region’s largest Fastfood & Café fair in early February 2016.

*LEKA is an abbreviation for:

Lärande (Learning)
Enkelt (Simple)
Kvalitet (Quality)
Ansvar (Responsibility)

And the word LEKA means PLAY in Swedish.
